Introduction to Arguments

The most interesting thing I remember from the reading was the view that an argument doesn't always have to have a winner and a loser. This rang a bell with me because when I think of an argument I always view one side as being successful and the other side as failing. After reading I realized that an argument can and should be an intellectual conversation in which each side supports their point and stands behind it. This doesn't mean that someone is right or more right than the other, but both sides can have valid points in their own right.
